Vita
Boike Rehbein was professor for the sociology of Asia and Africa at Humboldt University Berlin. He studied philosophy, sociology and history at Freiburg, Paris, Goettingen, Frankfurt and Berlin and received his PhD in 1996 and “habilitation” in 2004 at the University of Freiburg. He was acting chair of sociology at Freiburg from 2004 to 2006 and director of the Global Studies Programme from 2006 before moving to Berlin in 2009.
The entire project mourns the passing of Boike Rehbein, who died unexpectedly in June 2022.
